My name is TK Goforth, and I am the Director of TKG Music in Katy, Texas.  I teach students from ages 7-18.

As a professional musician, having sung in big bands and jazz combos and as a featured vocalist for more than 25 years, it is my desire that all my students will learn to express themselves through the music they learn, and will learn how to create their own!  My goal is to teach my students not only how to play their instrument, but to love and truly understand music. It is my privilege to pass on the love of music to each of our students in a positive, fun and encouraging environment.

I have just recently launched a new book on how to teach chord piano called "Chord Piano Is Fun!", which I use with each of my students -- no matter how old.  Please check it out at www.chordpianoisfun.com. Many people who have taken lessons in the past have only learned how to read the written note.  This shows how to play popular, jazz, rock, or Christian music quickly and easily!  It also explains how to write music, which each of my students learn in class.
